The "pyramidiots"’ corner

The Bosnian "pyramids" are only one, among many, of the manifestations of the rise of pseudo archaeology on the internet. I’ll try in this part to write from time to time, insofar as my work load permits it, some little texts about various other pseudoarchaeological "hoaxes" and bouts of pyramidomaniacal fever that regularly affect the web.

The term "pyramidiot" was used, probably for the first time, by Leonard Cottrell in his book "The Mountains of Pharaoh", were the chapter devoted to Charles Piazzi Smyth is titled "The great Pyramidiot". Since then it is often used - indeed not very kindly, to refer to "pyramidologists".
