The "antropogenez.ru" Russian team (composed of scientists, artists and craftmen) has been experimenting for years in ancient stone technologies. They have already made multiple experiences of drilling and sawing with granite, using only wood, stone and bone;

and the sculptor Olga Vdovina has made two vases with breccia marble, including one with the shape of a bird inspired by a Naqada vase.

Now the team plans a new experiment: making a stone vase with diorite, one of the hardest stones used by Ancient Egyptians, again using only the tools available to pre-dynastic or early-dynastic Egyptians. They need your help for this challenge, and have launched an international crowdfunding:
