  • Scientific reports from July 2006

Article published on 29 August 2006
    by Irna
Since the first reports made before the beginning of the excavations (satellite and geological analyses), the Foundation has till now published only two new reports for the 2006 campaign, respectively on the 18th and 19th of July (the third "report", dated 31st July, is only a "re-writing" of the first two ones by Nakija Nukic, the team (…)

  • "No pyramids"

Article published on 28 August 2006
    by Irna
No news from Dr Schoch’s report since he came back from Bosnia; however a text from him (en) has been published on Colette Dowell’s blog on the 26th of August 2006, about the "alleged pyramids". Not very surprisingly when one remembers their first impressions (see here) his conclusion is "No pyramids". A few significative extracts: "Where (…)

  • A certain lack of professionalism

Article published on 27 August 2006
    by Irna
The 2006 excavation campaign has begun in the "valley of the pyramids" in Visoko on April 14th, and it is supposed to continue until the end of October. During this campaign, the Foundation website has been updated on a daily basis - at least for the Bosnian version - with short statements and press releases, and hundreds of photographs of the (…)

  • Mysterious spheres...

Article published on 26 August 2006
    by Irna
To finish with what I called the "preliminary evidence", which Mr. Osmanagic used in order to proclaim the existence of the pyramids even before any excavation was done, there still are the "mysterious stone spheres" (kamene kugle), to which he devoted an entire chapter of his book on "the pyramid of the Sun" (see here for an analysis of this (…)

  • Of tunnels...

Article published on 26 August 2006
    by Irna
Another "scientific proof" of the existence of the pyramids, as presented by the Foundation in this document (in Bosnian (bs) [2] and in English (en)), is the so-called "extensive tunnel network" in the valley. Mr. Osmanagic claims that this "tunnel network" is connecting all the "colossal objects" of the valley, and that the existence of this (…)

  • First impressions from Robert Schoch and Colette Dowell

Article published on 8 August 2006
    by Irna
If you follow the Bosnian "pyramids" affair, you probably heard of the visit made by Robert Schoch (en) in Visoko. This geologist became quite famous with the controversy (en) that arised from his dating of the Sphinx of Giza (en). Robert Schoch holds, on the basis - to make it short - of certain types of erosion on its surface, to a much older (…)

  • The geophysical (satellite) analysis

Article published on 26 July 2006
    by Irna
A study of the "pyramids", using various remote sensing techniques, has been made during the winter 2005-2006. The scientific report, dated from February 2006, can be downloaded (en) on the Foundation website, and is also available below (English pdf file): Analyse Géophysique Geophysical Analysis - S

  • The geological probes

Article published on 20 July 2006
    by Irna
Table of contents The probes The drillings The geologists from the Tuzla University In August 2005, Mr. Osmanagic had (on his own funds apparently) a series of drillings done on Visocica hill, with the aim of confirming his "hypothesis" of the pyramid of the Sun. The results are presented in three different documents, and with some nuances: (…)

  • The "valley of the pyramids"

Article published on 20 July 2006
    by Irna
As soon as he had his first "revelation" of the existence of a pyramid under the hill of Visocica in April 2005 (see here), Mr. Osmanagic was convinced that this pyramid is not unique. On the other side of the valley, Pljesevica Hill is immediately identified as "sister pyramid", and the two hills are renamed: pyramid of the Sun and pyramid of (…)

  • How old?

Article published on 20 July 2006
    by Irna
If the size of the pyramid is a little bit "elastic", its age is apparently still more variable! In this article (en) (see "The figures really don’t add up"), Alun Salt picks up Mr. Osmanagic’s numerous contradictions: once he claims that the Bosnian pyramid has been made after the Egyptian and Mexican ones, the other time that it was (…)
